The Elegance of Geisha

Sunday 18 September 2011
Be entertained by these beautiful Geisha! In Japan's history, Geisha were mostly wandering girls that were poor and needed money for their families. Some would be sold for sex slavery while the more upper class Geisha would entertain the richer crowd at social gatherings. Soon times in Japan changed and it became home to the beauty-obsessed elites.

That was when Geisha culture grew popular and Geisha are still seen as the face of beauty in Japan as the white faced, kimono wearing, elegant beauties of history.
